I would like to say a big thank you on behalf of the O.S.C.A.R. families for your assistance in providing the catering for the recent sponsored three peaks.
When the idea of the challenge was first thought of I had no idea how we were going to be able to provide substantial hot meals for the challenge team, comprising of eight Thames Water and two Oxfordshire County Council employees. When you volunteered your services we were very grateful that we did not have to worry about the food aspect of the event.
Thanks for the generosity of The Oxford Catering Company we were able to raise £2780 for O.S.C.A.R. (Offering Support to Children And Relatives), for children diagnosed with brain and spinal tumours and their families. The money raised will be used to provide a residential adolescent weekend in May 2007 for approximately 35 young adults. The weekend will provide these young people with the opportunity to mix with other young people who have endured similar experiences.
The whole team appreciated your excellent catering throughout the weekend and especially the provision of the hot meal which was enjoyed by all.
